Savory Sausage Pinwheels

Nicole F. made these savory treats at Jennifer W.'s baby shower. Months later, I still remembered them and she kindly shared the recipe with me. Thanks, Nicole! They are a great savory item to add to menu.She varies the recipe by substituting bacon on occassion.

You will need:
1/2 lb. sausage (use any variety you like- Italian, mild, hot, etc.)
1 egg
3/4 c. cheese (use your favorit flavor)
2 tubes of crescent rolls

Brown the sausage, drain fat, and put in a mixing bowl. Add in one scrambled egg and cheese. Gently combine until well mixed. Lay out crescent rolls on a jelly roll pan/cookie sheet and spoon in sausage mixture. Fold the crescent roll into pinwheels or a triangle and bake as directed on the roll package. Enjoy with those you love!
